Hear The Symbols ...

Crash...

God. I feel like Hell tonight. I'm sorry for the late post. I've had 3... count them... 3 blood sugar crashes today. I have not taken ANY of my Diabetes meds today as a result. I should NOT be crashing. I have no clue WTF is going on with my body. My parents suggested that my pancreas is suddenly working again... ummm... can that HAPPEN?

I managed to work out in the pool today. Yeah... that caused the 2nd crash. I made it to Shecky's Baseball game. We lost 10-0. They stopped the game once the other team was beating us by 10 points.

Bleh. Sorry for the lackluster post. Imma go fall down.

Doctor, Doctor...

Gimme the news! I gotta Bad Case of Sugar Blues!

I called the Doc today. She took me off the Glimperide completely. We'll see how it goes. If I continue crashing daily I'm to call back.

Hopefully I'll have more interesting things to talk about now!

Yesterday was weigh in day... it was not pretty. I exercised every day and lost... are you ready? Can you HANDLE it? I lost .2 lbs. POINT 2. Jebus take the wheel... cause yer KILLIN me with this schiznit!

I'm wondering if all the crashing blood sugars have anything to do with it or if my body is just being difficult. Heh. It's prolly a combination of the two!

How are you guys doing out there? Hey... is this thing on?? ::taps on microphone::

So... a Knight, a Dragon and a Dwarf walk into a bar... you'da thought the Dwarf woulda missed it... ::Ba dum bum:: ***

*** I blame it on the constant low blood sugars... *cough*

Crap On A Stick...

Yeah... that pretty much describes how I feel.

Today I have been living in bizarro world. My blood sugars have been crashing like blind pilot flying through a gaggle of geese! I have crashed 3 times today... once as low as 49... 49???!?!?!?!!!! Jesus. I'm eating. I'm taking my meds. The only thing I can think of is the addition of exercising in the pool is causing my metabolism to work faster or better or... at all. I just know I'm exhausted PHYSICALLY between the low blood sugars and the exercise... but I'M NOT SLEEPY!

I hurt to frickin' much to be sleepy. My arms and legs are performing a slow, evil torture on me. I. No. LIKEE!!!! Bleh.

Sorry for all the whining. I'm just not having the best of days physically... *reads post again* or mentally I guess. Heh.

ZOMG Heath Leger is DEAD??? Dudes, he's 10 years younger than me and he's DEAD??? That's. Not. RIGHT!

New Stuffs

Just a quickie update for you guys.

I've been out of town for the last 10 days or so visiting the in-laws. It was a nice vacation but basically I ate like crap. I'm scared to weigh tomorrow to be honest.

Tomorrow I go back on program hard core. I'll be posting my daily menu and points counts as I did in the past. I've had a couple of requests to begin doing that again and, to be honest, it really helped me stay on track with my eating. It made it much less tempting for me to cheat a lil here or there when I had to post what I was eating. Heh. Vanity thy name is NotAMeanGirl.

I'm not sure how you guys feel about this though. Lemme know what you think. Should I do this here or take my weight loss stuff to a 2nd blog. (God help me I dunno if I can keep up with 2 blogs but I'll try if you guys would rather have it separate.)

Now that the holidays and vacation are over and my 39th birthday is JUST around the corner ::Whimper:: its time for me to re-commit to my weight loss efforts. The exercise pool should be up and ready for me to use shortly (Thank God) and I'll be exercising more as well. I actually MISS the exercise. Man... how weird is THAT? (So very, VERY weird... heh)

Shecky goes back to school tomorrow as well. Its a new year and a new start for everyone. :)

Silence...

is golden they say... Yeah.... Not so much when you are a blogger. Sorry for being so quiet lately. We've been going crazy trying to get ready for Thanksgiving.

I have a couple of updates on my weight loss/health issues. I gained .3 lbs this week. POINT THREE. Damn it. It couldn't have just stayed the SAME yanno? lol

I was much more immobile last week. Spent a lot of time at the dinning room table baking. Bleh.

I DID manage a milestone today though. I BEAT THE WALMART MONSTER. We went into town today and I managed to do the shopping, for an hour, walking. NO SCOOTER! WOOT! I'm tired and sore but it was so worth it!

And We Were Dancin'.. Dancin' In The Streets!

WOOT! Weigh In Day is today. I'm down another 3.9 lbs. I've lost a total of 52.1 lbs so far. I BROKE THE 50 lb. mark!!!!! Another 12 lbs and I'll be below 4oo and well on my way to driving a car again. (I was driving my Taurus at 380ish).

Holy Pete Moses!!!! I'm stoked folks. I am doing a few things differently. I'm not exercising. I'm being more active around the house. It would seem I wasn't eating enough points to counterbalance the activity I was doing in my exercise. That actually makes my head hurt.

Hi. My name is Tessa and I weight 411.9 lbs. ... and I'm excited about that! ::Dances through the Blogaverse::

Update and Links I'd Like You To Visit

Good Morning! Happy Columbus Day! I have some things I wanna talk about today but its nothing terribly important.

Here's a quick update on the weight loss scene. I lost 5.2 lbs this week. I'm at my lowest weight in AGES. I now weigh 420 lbs. I'm getting so close to breaking the 400 lb mark I can freaking TASTE it. AIIIIIIGH. I found out last week I actually only gained 3 lbs not 5. Mom rounded up when she told me verbally. I yelled a long time about THAT one. Heh.

My walk today was really good. I managed 7 minute cycles of walking rather than 5 and I got in 10 laps per cycle rather than 7. It was sort of a power walk... for me. LOL. A REAL power walked would have looked and said... "Ummm... lady... yer CRAWLING" but I feel good about having managed to increase my time, speed and number of laps. Gonna aim for the same for the rest of the week.

My friend Jess over at Oh, The Joys is having a rough time. Her grandmother passed away very suddenly this weekend. She's got a very moving tribute to her up on her site. Please go by and check it out. Give her some support and love from the Blogaverse!

Another friend of mine, Wendy, over at One Day At A Time... is asking the Blog Community to stand up and help her support a really great cause. If you can afford to donate I encourage you to do so. If you can't, like me, perhaps linking to her and giving her more exposure for the cause would be a nice way to help out. Her email to me follows and it contains a link:

Tessa,

Random Writings

Today is a free flow "Stream of Consciousness" blogging day for me. Here we go....

OMG... Instead of exercising in the water today I WALKED. WTF was I THINKING? Well, lemme tell you. Exercising in the water is a great no impact work out, but it doesn't get my heart rate up or my respiration's. There's no cardiac work out for me with it at this point. I walked for all of 13 minutes... in 2 or 3 minute increments per time. I had to rest to catch my breath between but other than that it went well. My legs are EXHAUSTED right now. My knees, well, we're not really on speaking terms except when they YELL at me, but I feel good about having done it. I think I'll walk several days a week and only do the water exercises on the days its just too damn hot to walk. We'll see how it goes.

Weight Watchers Core plan... I LOVE IT. I know I've said this before but I really do. I eat ONLY when I'm hungry. It drives my mom bonkers because she feels like I'm not eating enough but I'm satisfied when I quit. Not full, yet not hungry. I feel better eating this way. No bloat (I'm not eating much bread), very little in the way of carbs except fruits and starchy veggies and almost no junk. Ok... I DID say ALMOST no junk. I do occasionally splurge and have a No Pudge Brownie or one cookie or something of that sort but that's just once in a while. (Hey, I'm SO not perfect....)

There's a young girl here at the lake named KT. I have a LOT of regard and respect for this 11 year old. She's doing the Weight Watchers Flex Plan. SHE decided to do it and SHE figures it out for herself. Her mom is encouraging her and so am I. I wish I had that sort of fortitude and drive to better myself at her age. Way to go KT!

Shecky had his first test yesterday. THIRD day of school and he had a test. It was vocabulary and he ROCKED IT! He got 105% on it. (Everything including the 5 bonus words! GO SHECK GO!) He also got 100% on a math paper the same day. He was SO proud of himself and I was THRILLED. THIS is what I'm trying to instill in him about school. I WANT him to be excited to do well and upset if he doesn't. He got to get a "prize" out of the Reward Bag for doing so well on his very first test. He was loved it. To top it ALL off... that was a pre-test for Friday's test. Since he scored a perfect score he doesn't have to retake the test Friday. This is gonna be a weekly thing. I have a feeling I'm going to need more "prizes" for the Reward Bag. Anyone have suggestions for smallish rewards for a 7 year old who's obsessed with Pirates of the Caribbean, Yugio, Star Wars and various other little boy things?

I hope you all have a great day! /end random thoughts.. for now

Water Works

I have to admit. I thought exercising in the water, unless it was organized Water Aerobics, wouldn't be effective. Man, was I ever wrong.

I feel it in my legs and arms the most. Its easier to get up offa the couch. I can peel and cut up a watermelon or 2 cantaloupes without my arms aching now. I really am amazed at the difference its made in such short time.
