New Stuffs

Just a quickie update for you guys.

I've been out of town for the last 10 days or so visiting the in-laws. It was a nice vacation but basically I ate like crap. I'm scared to weigh tomorrow to be honest.

Tomorrow I go back on program hard core. I'll be posting my daily menu and points counts as I did in the past. I've had a couple of requests to begin doing that again and, to be honest, it really helped me stay on track with my eating. It made it much less tempting for me to cheat a lil here or there when I had to post what I was eating. Heh. Vanity thy name is NotAMeanGirl.

I'm not sure how you guys feel about this though. Lemme know what you think. Should I do this here or take my weight loss stuff to a 2nd blog. (God help me I dunno if I can keep up with 2 blogs but I'll try if you guys would rather have it separate.)

Now that the holidays and vacation are over and my 39th birthday is JUST around the corner ::Whimper:: its time for me to re-commit to my weight loss efforts. The exercise pool should be up and ready for me to use shortly (Thank God) and I'll be exercising more as well. I actually MISS the exercise. Man... how weird is THAT? (So very, VERY weird... heh)

Shecky goes back to school tomorrow as well. Its a new year and a new start for everyone. :)

Weekly Weight Woss Wupdate...

Yeah I know... Lame Title. Heh. But I'm in a GOOD mood. I lost 8.1 lbs this past week for a total of 24.8 lbs in 3 weeks. WOOOOOOOT!!!! Even with a visit from my unloved and unwanted Aunt Flo! ::Does Happy Dance::

We're changing things up this week a bit and its making me... apprehensive. We are moving from the Core plan, which I ADORE, to points. We did core for 3 weeks and now we're going to do Points. It is day 1 and my tolerance is already being tested.

We got up a bit late today so we didn't hit the lake for our exercise until 9:30. We exercised for an hour and a half. Got out, drip dried, I took a nice long bath/soak in the big tub with jets and then at a fricking 11 point lunch at 1pm. It was the first thing I'd eaten all day and I was frickin' STARVING!!! I had a sandwich of Cucumbers, tomato's and Light Garden Veggie Philly Cream cheese, a Smart Ones Salisbury Steak frozen dinner, 1 cup skim milk and 1 cup cantaloupe. I was OVERFULL. THAT, in a nutshell, is why I don't like the points plan. I'm actually supposed to eat, according to the plan, 44 points a day. That's crazy! That's WAY too much food. We decided I'm going to do 34 points a day which is STILL a lot more food than I've been eating on Core. On Core, I eat till I start feeling a little full, then I stop. On Points, I have to eat all the points even if I'm not Effin hungry! Meh. I'll try it for 3 weeks and see how it goes but as of now... I'm not likin' it. We'll see what the weight loss shows next week.

On a totally different subject, did you know that getting a copy of your child's birth certificate from the county because you are an idiot and can't find it to register him for school will run you around $30.00??? That's nuts.... sigh

I'm Back!

Hey everyone! I know I've been a bad, BAD blogger. No posts for over a week. I've been having a very... meh... time of it. The new meds are working well but mentally I've been in a swamp. I've had no energy. Always tired but not sleepy. Nothing really piques my interest or sounds like fun. I'm either, depressed or anemic. I'm taking my Zoloft (insert happy blue pill here heh) so I don't see how it could be depression but it kinda SEEMS like one. NOTHING interests me. I HATE it when I get like this. R and J do too. Shecky just wonders why I'm so cranky and then hugs me very enthusiastically. (That HELPS... a LOT but I can't staple the kid to me 24-7... Can I???) It only helps for a short while though. Bleh.

Anyway, I'm trying to get my head out of my ass and back into everything. I've been reading the blogs that I regularly haunt but not saying much. I was checking out Oh, The Joys today and saw that Jessica had tagged me for a Me Me. 7- 10 Things You Don't Know About Me. I'll work on that tomorrow and post it for y'all.

As far as the weight loss front, that's kind of what started the mental spiral. Its not going really well. I was completely off plan for a couple of weeks. Monday I started trying to count points again but I've been unsuccessful on that front. I'm not eating a lot but I'm not eating WELL either. Back to the old bad habits. So... I'm kicking myself in the ass, yet again. Starting tomorrow morning I COUNT MY FRICKIN' POINTS. I'm going to eat regular meals and pay attention to WHAT I'm eating and stay within my 34 points. Period. End. No Excuses. No dodging it.

I'm also researching Gastric Bypass. My doctor suggested it to me last visit and I've been thinking about it a lot. My health insurance won't pay for it but R's will. I'll be on his insurance June 1. Anyone out there that's had one or knows someone that's had one and is willing to talk to me about it gimme a hollah. (ESPECIALLY if you live in Houston, TX. I know NOTHING about the Bariatric Surgeons here... sigh)

Oy Vey!

Well, I've already fallen down on the job of posting my food daily. Yesterday was NOT a good day. We had a car accident during morning rush hour. ::shakes fist at 18-wheeler driver and pickup truck driver who were involved and didn't stop:: Everyone is fine but it caused a lot of chaos for the day. I ended up not eating until lunch. We went to Taco Bell on the way home from getting new tires etc. I, of course, didn't have my books with me and had no idea what was worth how many points. I ended up eating a Zesty Nacho and a Crunch Wrap. Dinner was better. I fixed venison and pork sausage in garlic tomato sauce with onions and rice. No veggies though. I also baked cookies for the Shecky. I found myself picking at the dough though. Bad day. I did, however, make some awesome tuna salad.

Today's food is as follows:

Breakfast:

1 Can Light Vienna Sausages (6 pts)
Baby Carrots (0 pts)
1 Tbsp SW Ranch Dressing (2 pts)

Lunch:

1/2 cup Tuna Salad (7 pts)

26 Flat Earth Garlic Chips (6 pts)

1 Philly Swirl Pop (1 point)

1 60z chicken breast (6 pts)
1 C Carrots (1 pt )
1 C Lima Beans (2 pts)
1 C Whole Wheat Stove Top Stuffing (4 pts)
1 C Skim Milk (2 pts)

Philly Swirl Italian Ice (2 pts)
